Erigonoplus nasutus (O.P.- Cambridge, 1879) new combination

Remarks on transfer: Based on the leg spine formula, the position of the trichobothrium on the tibiae, the raised caput and the configuration of the male palp, the species is transferred from Trachelocomptus to Erigonoplus .

Description: Measurements: Male: Total length 1.7; prosoma 0.72–0.84 long, 0.51–0.54 wide. Colour: Prosoma reddish brown, thoracic part yellowish brown; legs yellowish orange, patellae tinged with grey; abdomen grey. Male prosoma ( Fig. 43) with large tubercle anteriorly protruded into a curved, hairy cone, dilating distally, with PM at lateral side of cone. Eyes: a = 0.75, b = 2.5, c = d = 1.75. Chelicerae: With 6, welldeveloped oblique stridulating grooves; 4 promarginal and 4 retromarginal teeth in fang groove. Legs: Typical row of ventral femoral spines not observed; spine formula 0011 (or spines in TI I–II broken off); L Sp Ti III– IV = 1; Tb Mt I = 0.43; Tb Mt IV absent. Palp ( Figs 44–46): Tibia with strongly elongated anterodorsal apophysis and with some strong retrolateral spines; paracymbium with broad basal and distal branches, distal branch with one strong spine; embolus with terminal and subterminal teeth.

New records: Braga: Terras de Bouro, Curral da Rocalva , 1 male, under stone in maquis with scattered Pinus , 21.XII.2008, L. Crespo leg. (CLC) . Bragança: Douro Internacional NP, Freixo de Espada à Cinta, Palão, 2 males, 21.III.2001 (CPC); Torre de Moncorvo (CBM) . Porto: Paredes, Recarei (CBM).

Distribution: Portugal and the south of France.

Habitat type: Unknown.

Phenology: The few examined specimens were collected in winter and early spring.
