Notes. (1) In the original description of Lyclene rubricosa, Moore (1878) has not specified the number of specimens but mentioned both sexes. In order to stabilise the nomenclature, we hereby designate the female syntype labeled as “Type” and preserved in the NHMUK collection as lectotype. (2) The male specimen illustrated by Kirti & Singh (2016) as ‘ Miltochrista rubricosa ’ belongs to an undescribed species of Miltochrista similar to M. hogani sp. n. and M. ochracea .

Diagnosis. The forewing length is 11.5 mm in males and 10.5–11.0 mm in females. The species is similar to A. arcuata , the detailed comparison is provided above in the diagnosis of the latter species.

Distribution. Western and South India (West Bengal, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala) ( Moore 1878; Kirti & Gill 2008, as Arctelene uncodes ). The record from the Yunnan Province of China ( Daniel 1952) belongs to M. taragmena sp. n.
