Chilota tenuis teniuor [lapsus for tenuior]: BMNH. Chilota tenuis ss. tenuior: Reynolds & Cook 1976: 179.

Type locality. WC: Oudebosch, east of Caledon.

Distribution. Type locality only, in proximity of the Cape Peninsula, distant from the site of the other subspecies.

Remarks. Holotype BMNH 1938.7.1.2490, poorly preserved fragments, mounted penial setae and spermathecae. Syntypes: SAMC A21681 View Materials –21683, poorly preserved specimens. BMNH 1938:7:1:2490 ‘n. subsp.’; in the tube are fragments of a specimen, mounted setae and the label: ‘co-type’. Data in Reynolds & Cook (1976) on the type material (‘BMNH 1938:7:1:2491’) are not confirmed, and possibly a printing error of the last figure (‘1’ for ‘0’).
