Type locality. WC, Wellington area, Observation Peak at Bain's Kloof, sandy marshy soil. Distribution. Known from the north-east proximity of the Cape Peninsula in Wellington area, and Witte River Valley at Bain's ‘kloof’; various localities (some with remains of snow).
Remarks. Type material: SAMC A21587. Other material BMNH 1938.7.1.1638–1642, 1938.7.1.1629–1637 (on the label species name ‘ bainiellu s ‘n.sp.’).
