Type locality. KZN, Karkloof Nature Reserve, high part of mixed Podocarpus forest edge, in litter and the first layer of soil.

Distribution. Type locality only, in KZN midlands.

Remarks. Holotype NMSA/00246. Paratypes NMSA/Olig.00246a; HNHM AF/2517, AF/2519.
