Type locality. WC, Forest Reserve near George, tree ferns.
Distribution. Known from ten sites, all in the south-eastern coastal-belt of Western Cape. South aspect of Montagu Pass near George, at ca. 1000 m asl, wet moss. Knysna, Garden of Eden (worms were coming to surface when twiddled in the ground – Pickford 1937: 263). Knysna Forest: nursery beds; Deep Walls Research Hill at south slope; Deep Walls Station.
