Luiz Antônio: C. pubescens , VII­2001 (1), IX­ 2001 (1), X­2001; M. bella , I­2000 (2), V­2000 (2), X­2000 (2); M. guianensis , V­2000 (1), IV­2001 (3); P. cinereum , IV­2001 (3).

Associated phytophagous mites: Tenuipalpus sp. on M. bella ; O. psidii on P. guajava ; Oligonychus sp. on C. pubescens and M. bella .

Previous records: Brazil — Bahia, Maranhão, Minas Gerais, Pernambuco, Rio Grande do Sul, São Paulo; Colombia; Cuba; Guadeloupe; Marie­Galante; Martinique Panama; Puerto Rico and Venezuela.

Remarks: The measurements of 5 adult females collected are similar to those of the holotype given by Aponte & McMurtry (1995).
