TL: [West Bengal], Darjeeling.
TD: Holotype, female, ZMHU.
Distribution in India: Sikkim ( Hampson 1892); Meghalaya (Khasi Hills) ( Swinhoe 1905), West Bengal (Darjeeling) ( Mandal & Maulik 1997). Global records: Pakistan, Nepal, southern and central China ( Zolotuhin & Pinratana 2005).
Remark: Distribution of other two subspecies i.e, P. s. fabulosa Zolotuhin, 2005 is Vietnam, Myanmar and Thailand and of P. s. taiwana Wileman, 1915 is Taiwan. Zolotuhin and Pinratana (2005) mentioned a subspecies undulata Moore, without description/year of the species, thus it couldnot be traced and needs further investigations.
