Material examined. RUSSIA: Krasnodarsky Territory, River Malaya Laba (10), 24.v.2014, D. Zherebilo (1 ♂). Karachay-Cherkess Republic, northern slope of Rocky Ridge (22), 24.v.2014, D. Zherebilo (3 ♂). GEORGIA: Lechkhumi ridge (41), 29.iv.2014, D. Zherebilo (3 ♀); env. Norio (46), 18.iv.2015, A.V. Zherebilo (1 ♂, 1 ♀).

Diagnosis. Wiedemannia (Chamaedipsia) lota differs by acrostichals widely divergent around prescutellar depression, 5 pairs of dorsocentrals without interspersed shorter setae between, light brown scutum with bluishgreen postpronotal lobe, lower margin of notopleuron, prescutellar depression and dorsal surface of scutellum with several setulae, proepisternum and laterotergite with pale setulae, fore femur apically with 1 strong anterior seta; clasping cercus unilobed, yellowish basally, long and wide, rounded apically.

Distribution. PALAEARCTIC: Europe: Austria, Belgium, Britain, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, European Turkey, Germany, Greek mainland, Hungary, Ireland, Italian mainland, Poland, Sicily, Slovenia, Spanish mainland, Sweden, Switzerland; Caucasus: Russia (Krasnodarsky Territory, Karachay-Cherkess Republic), Georgia; Asia: Turkey, Lebanon, Syria, Kirgizstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan.

Remarks. The species is recorded from the Caucasus—the territories of Russia and Georgia for the first time. This species is uncommon from montane rivers of the Caucasus from altitudes 600–800 m a.s.l. and is active from April to May.
