Eugenia venezuelensis has a wide distribution within the American continent, from Mexico (Tamaulipas, Veracruz, Chiapas, and Quintana Roo), Central America to Venezuela, including Colombia ( WCSP 2020). The estimated extent of occurrence (EOO) exceeds the thresholds for a threatened category under the criterion B, as well as the area of occupancy (AOO) would likely exceed the thresholds of any threatened category when the remaining habitat available is taken in account. The occurrence biome is the Humid Tropical Forest from 0 to 1,200 m elev. Eugenia venezuelensis has a wide distribution and has a total of 230 collection records from Mexico to Venezuela, occupying important areas of vegetation in dry and humid tropical forests, as well as being protected in conservation areas. Currently there are twelve records were found in Mexican territory. Therefore , according to the analysis by BGCI & IUCN (2019k), Eugenia venezuelensis is classified as Least Concern (LC).
