EOO: 110,058.026 km ². AOO: 40 km ². Evaluation of IUCN: Least Concern.

Eugenia yunckeri is distributed within the Mexican territory in two states, Chiapas, and Guerrero, and can be found in Honduras ( WCSP 2020). The estimated extent of occurrence (EOO) exceeds the thresholds for a threatened category under the criterion B, as well as the area of occupancy (AOO) would likely exceed the thresholds of any threatened category when the remaining habitat available is taken in account. There are more than 10 known based on the records available and all of them have different ongoing threats. The occurrence biome is the Humid Tropical Forest and the Humid Montane Forest, from 740 to 2,164 m elev. The habitat is mostly in good condition in the forest in the Costa Grande region in Guerrero (municipality of Zihuatanejo de Azueta), also in the “Sierra Mariscal” region in Chiapas, where different mountain biomes converge, and the reserves conserve the species’ habitat ( CONABIO 2018). Therefore, Eugenia yunckeri is classified as Least Concern (LC).
