Rhagomicrus thoracicus ( Horn, 1890)
( Fig. 4 View Figures 1–6 )
Outside the Nearctic region, this uncommonly encountered eucnemid species has been found in Guatemala and Panama ( Horn 1890). Recently, I examined many specimens from Central America and report it here as new country records from the following countries: Belize, Costa Rica, Honduras, and Nicaragua. In the United States, R. thoracicus was previously recorded in Texas ( Muona 2000). It is confirmed here as new state records for Florida and Georgia. Two specimens were taken from V-flight intercept trap placed in a state park in Florida. A single specimen was taken from a Lindgren funnel trap placed in Georgia.
