This widespread, rarely encountered eucnemid species was previously known from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, and West Virginia ( Otto 2022b). It is recorded here for the first time as new state records for Kentucky and South Carolina. Two specimens were taken from Malaise traps placed in Kentucky.
