This rarely encountered eucnemid species was previously known from Florida, only ( Otto 2021) and recorded here for the first time in Louisiana as a new state record. In Louisiana, a single specimen was taken from a Lindgren funnel trap baited with ethanol. LOUISIANA: USA: LA: Feliciana Par./ Feliciana Preserve/ N 30.7946, W −91.2537/ 18–24 May 2014 / Lindgren EtOH bait Farro, Flick (1, CUAC).
