Type species: Palatovia lorestanica Makarchenko et Semenchenko , sp. nov., by present designation.

Derivatio nominis. The genus is named in honour of Dr. Dmitry M. Palatov from A.N. Severtsov Institute of Ecol-

ogy and Evolution of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow), who collected type material of a new genus and species in Iran mountains as well as other very interesting Diamesinae material in mountains of Caucasus , Central Asia and the Middle East .
