Neoheegeria dalmatica Schmutz, 1909: 344–345 .

This species is primarily associated with the flowers of Stachys and Phlomis species (Lamiaceae) . The considerable variation has been discussed recently that occurs in several characters both within and between populations of this species ( Minaei et al. 2007b). In one sample of N. dalmatica from Kojoor (Mazandaran Province), the length of antennal segment III ranged from 60 to 72 mm and the number of duplicated wing cilia from 10 to 18. As a result of this variation, three nominal species were placed as synonyms: N. nevskyi Moulton from Uzbekistan; N. ballotae Priesner from Algeria; N. hamanni Priesner from Croatia.
