Latrunculia citharistae Vacelet, 1969 View in CoL was transferred to subgenus Biannulata by Samaai et al. (2006) but is now thought to be a species of Sceptrella View in CoL as the paratype and other specimens possess a second form of longer, equiended spicule, similar to those in other species of Sceptrella View in CoL (J. Vacelet pers. comm.). This species has been transferred from Latrunculia (Biannulata) View in CoL to Latrunculia incertae sedis until further research is conducted on this species ( Table 9 View TABLE 9 ).
