Holotype. Ƥ, Malaysia, Sabah, Kunung, Kinabalu Sayap, 1000m, 116 34 0 6 10N; Gua Melayu trail, clearing in primary forest, 13 iii 2001, JP & MJ Duffels, gen. slide no. CIS-6147/Park. Paratype: 1Ƥ, same data as the holotype.

Diagnosis. The new species can be distinguished from T. karismata and T. parakarismata Park , sp. nov. by the weakly developed smaller costal patches before and beyond of the median largest orange-white patch in the forewing. The female genitalia are distinguished from those of T. karismata by the sclerotized ostial plate and the elongate antrum as illustrated in Fig. 8 View FIGURES 6 – 9 , comparing with Fig. 9 View FIGURES 6 – 9 .

Description. Female ( Figs. 2, 2 View FIGURES 1 – 4 a, 2b). Wingspan 16–17 mm. Head covered with brownish scales dorsally, with a row of broad orange-white scales along posterior margin. Collar well-developed, dark brown in basal 1/3, then orange white beyond, mixed with brownish scales medially. Antenna more than 1.3 times length of forewing; basal segment elongate, dark brown all around; flagellum orange white with brownish reflection in basal half, then shiny silvery white throughout, without annulations. Second segment of labial palpus thickened with rough scales ventrally, dark brown on outer surface, paler on inner surface; 3rd segment slender, longer than 2nd segment, orange white dorsally, dark brown ventrally ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1 – 4 a). Tegula dark brown, mixed with orange-white scales posteriorly. Thorax dark brown, irregularly mixed with orange-white scales. Forewing elongate, ground color dark purplish brown, with various shapes and sizes of whitish costal patches: median whitish largest patch quadrate, length more than 1.5 times of width, preceded by four small whitish patches along costa and followed by two small patches before second larger one prior to apex; apical costal patch large, triangular; apex obtuse; termen oblique; fringe dark brown around apex and near tornus, orange white between them. Hindwing dark purplish brown, broader than forewing, with large, trapezoidal whitish patch near apex. Hind tibia ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1 – 4 b) clothed with brownish scales dorsally, with broad, orange-white band beyond middle, orange white ventrally. Male unknown.

Female genitalia ( Figs. 8, 8 View FIGURES 6 – 9 a, 8b). Apophysis anterioris very short, sclerotized, less than 1/6 length of eighth abdominal segment. Eighth sternite sclerotized, with digitate latero-caudal process, about 1/4 length of sternite. Lamella antevaginalis more or less trapezoidal, sclerotized, emarginate on caudal margin medially. Antrum long, sclerotized, with lateral arms on anterior margin; anterior margin concave. Ductus bursae two times length of corpus bursae, coiled two or three times, with some fine conic spinules internally; ductus seminalis narrow, arising from posterior 1/4 of the ductus bursae. Corpus bursae large; signa of two small, comma-shaped spines on weakly sclerotized, semicirclular plate on left and an elongate plate on right.
