Recorded at: Pahang: Unspecified [ 23] ; Pulau Pinang: Unspecied [ 23] ; Selangor: Bukit Kutu Wildlife Reserve [ 51] ; Kedah: Ulu Muda Forest Reserve [ 57] ; Melaka: Sungai Udang Forest Reserve [ 68] .

P. tenuis has been reported roosting in buildings in highly disturbed areas and in hollowed branches and among dead leaves in forests [ 14].
