Geographic distribution. Pacific Ocean between 40– 45° N and 40° S ( Román-Palacios et al. 2020). Distribution in Peru. Oceanic species found off the coast of Peru ( Ikawa et al. 2012, fig. 6).
Note. This species is restricted to the Pacific Ocean. Records from other oceans are erroneous ( Román-Palacios et al. 2020).
