This Eurasian species has been widely established in the eastern US and around the world ( Linsley 1964). More recently, it has been recorded in the Pacific Northwest states and provinces (LaBonte, et al. 2005). Although it is variable in color, the long metatarsomere I, which is longer than the remaining tarsomeres together, is a distinguishing character among all North American Phymatodes View in CoL .
