Outside Russia: Europe, Crimea, Turkey, Transcaucasia, N Iran, Mongolia, N, NE, SW and central China, Korea, Japan (Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku, Kyushu, Tsushima, Isl.).

Hostplants: different dicotyledonous herbs ( Clematis , Taraxacum , Aster , Artemisia , Senecio , Stachys , Vicia , Viola , Origanum , Valeriana , Veronica , Plantago , Lythrum , Poa , Filipendula ), shrubs ( Ligustrum , Vaccinium myrtillus , Lonicera ) and trees ( Alnus , Crataegus ) ( Beljaev 2016).
