Erebia alberganus (De Prunner, 1798)

— recorded by the author in the company of M. Gascoigne-Pees at the Čakor pass on July 14th 2017 ( Fig. 7 ). The species was widespread and in good numbers in suitable habitats. Specimens were mainly worn. In the neighbouring countries the species is present in Serbia and Bulgaria, on Stara Planina ( Abadjiev 2001; Popović et al. 2013), and in Macedonia in the Šar Planina massif ( Melovski 2002) and Korab mountain ( Louy et al. 2013). The discovery of this species on Čakor pass comes as a surprise, since the area has been surveyed by several entomologists ( Koçak 1989; Jakšić 2003b; Weiss 1975) and the species is evidently common in suitable habitats.
