Pungitius laevis (Cuvier, 1829) – Smoothtail ninespine stickleback – Épinochette à peau douce

Some primarily freshwater species are sometimes cited geographically from “marine” environment. However, it is often by accident (fishes washed out by a flood, and found at sea in the plume of freshwater at the surface), or in very restricted areas under the strong influence of a freshwater source. We did not include those in this list.
