Ecology. Epigeic subspecies found under the bark of old rotten trees (Zicsi et al. 2011) and in wet soils (in forests) and in hill meadows (Stojanović 1996).

Distribution in Montenegro. Northern Montenegro: Crepuljna Poljana, Savin Kuk I, II, Poljanak, Barno jezero (Mršić 1983; 1990), Ališnica, Veljkova ploča, Kanjon Sušice, Gornja Počivala, Tepca, Aluge, Virak (Mršić 1990), Crno jezero (Mršić 1990, 1991), Čakor, Durmitor (Mršić 1991), Žabljak, Durmitor (Mršić 1990, 1991; Karaman & Stojanović 1995); eastern Montenegro: Bijelo Polje (Karaman & Stojanović 1995), Biogradska Gora Mt., Bjelasica Mt. (Stojanović & Karaman 2003).

Zoogeographical distribution type. A common peregrine species (Csuzdi et al. 2011).
