Etymology. Form Latin, weak, thin, little.
Material examined. Holotype, male. Threedimensional specimen mounted in slide, in Canada Balsam. Brasil, São Paulo, Parque Estadual Intervales. 30 / x / 2000. At light. G. C. Ribeiro. MZUSP.
Color (based in the specimen when still in alcohol). Head, thorax and terminalia pale yellow; abdomen light brown. Head ( Figs. 2021 View FIGURES 20 23 ). Rostrum length, 4.28mm; antenna length, 1.28 mm; maxillary palpus length, 0.20 mm; third segment of palpus 2.45 times longer than fourth; head capsule length, 0.68 mm. Thorax ( Fig. 22 View FIGURES 20 23 ). Thorax length / height, 1.76 / 1.44 mm; tibial spurs lacking. Wing ( Fig. 23 View FIGURES 20 23 ). Wing length / width, 6.20 / 1.50 mm; crossvein scr before mid point between tip of R1 and origin of RS; discal cell ca. 2.4 times longer than wide; vein A1 ca. 1.6 times longer than A2. Abdomen. Abdomen length, 3.84 mm. Male terminalia ( Figs. 2425 View FIGURE 24 View FIGURE 25 ). Gonocoxite length / maximum width, 0.40 / 0.17 mm; gonocoxite enlarged near midlength by a medial protuberance, with longest hairs at lateral and apical borders; gonostylus terminal; inner gonostylus length, 0.22 mm; inner gonostylus broadbased, curved at tip; outer gonostylus length, 0.20 mm; aedeagus long and narrow.
