The name refers to the collector of the holotype (see below).
Male
Frons brown, a little wider than long, with 4048 hairs and microsetae represented by minute dots only. Antials a little closer to anterolaterals than to each other, and ALs slightly higher on frons. Bristles of middle row with preocellars a little closer together than either is from a mediolateral, but the MLs slightly lower on frons than POs. Postpedicels light brown and subconical. Straw yellow palps with five short bristles at tip and a few short hairs below segment 2. Labrum narrow and labella reduced in size. Thorax brown. Scutellum with anterior pair of hairs (subequal to those towards rear of scutum) and a posterior pair of bristles. Abdominal tergites brown with sparse small hairs. Venter dirty straw yellow with a few hairs below on segments 35 and a pair of bristles at rear of 5. Hypopygium and anal tube brown. Legs light yellowish brown, the dorsal edged and distal third of hind femur being darkest. Front tibia with five small dorsal spines. Dorsal hair palisade of mid tibia ends before basal pair of bristles. Base of hind femur as Fig. 10 View FIGURES 9 10 . Hind tibia lacks isolated bristles in upper three quarters and the posterodorsals are fine. Wings 1.0 1.1 mm long. Costal index 0.45. Costal ratios 7.57.6: 1.5: 1. Costal cilia 0.03 0.04 mm long. Thick veins pale brown, 46 paler, vein 7 absent. A fine hair at base of vein 3. Membrane lightly tinged grey. Haltere whitish yellow.
