Material examined: Turkey: Rize, 5 km SE Ayder, 1600 m, 31. V.1995, 1 ɗ; Rize, Ayder, 1300 m, 30. V.1995, 1 ɗ; Rize, 2 km NW Ikizdere, 550 m, 29. V.1995, 1 ɗ, all H. v. Oorschot, H. v.d. Brink & P. Oosterbroek leg., J. Starý det.

Distribution: Scattered records from Europe, also known from Georgia and possibly Azerbaijan. First records for Turkey.

Note: For the time being, it is advisable to consider Lipsothrix iranica Alexander, 1975 , of Iran, a distinct species (cf. Starý 2007).
