Subgenus: Elachista View in CoL ; tetragonella View in CoL species group.
Distribution: Palearctic. Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy (continent, Sicily), Norway, Portugal, Russia (European part), Sweden, U.K. ( England, Wales).
Larval host plant(s): Scirpus maritimus L., ( Cyperaceae ), Juncus gerardii Loiseleur-Deslongchamps , J. compressus Jacq. (Juncaceae) ( Stainton 1887b; Fletcher 1887; Meyrick 1928).
