17. Conicera triangularis sp. nov. ( Figs. 15D–F, 15I–J View FIGURES 15 , 29H View FIGURES 29 )

Description. Male. Body length 1.3–1.6 mm. Frons dark brown. Supra-antennal setae and lower fronto-orbital setae present. Lower interfrontal setae slightly shorter than upper interfrontal setae and the distance between each other equaled to that between upper interfrontal setae. First flagellomere yellowish brown, 0.19 mm long, with an aspect ratio of 1.93:1; arista 0.30 mm long, 1.54 times as long as that of first flagellomere. Palpus dark brown, with 7 short setae apically.

Thorax brown. Mid and hind legs yellowish brown, fore leg yellow. Fore tibia with 9 small near-dorsal setulae, the uppermost being longer than the rest. Mid femur without sense-organ. Wing ( Fig. 29H View FIGURES 29 ) length 1.44 mm. Costal index 0.42, costal ratio 1.85:1, costal setulae length 0.040 –0.045 mm. Vein Rs with basisetula. Veins brown, except A 1 +CuA 2 whitish gray. Membrane hyaline. Halter brown.

Abdominal tergites brown. Terminalia ( Fig. 15D View FIGURES 15 ) brown. Left surstylus ( Figs. 15E, I View FIGURES 15 ) triangular, dorso-apical corner with 4–6 pointed inner teeth. Right surstylus ( Figs. 15F, J View FIGURES 15 ) arc-shaped on posterior edge, dorso-apical corner with 8 pointed inner teeth.

Female. Unknown.

Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from the Latin word triangulus (triangular), indicating the character of left surstylus.

Specimens examined. Holotype, ♂, Jiangxi, Mt. Jinggang, Shuikou, 6-Aug-2005, Hong Fang , Wei Zhu . Paratype, 1 ♂, same data as for holotype .

Distribution. China (Jiangxi).

Remarks. This species is similar to C. chayuensis sp. nov., it differs from the latter by lacking process on dorso-apical corner of left surstylus and presence of lower fronto-orbital setae.
