royi -group of Salassa View in CoL

Diagnosis. The royi -group is characterized by (1) both the forewing and hindwing have relatively rounded greenish-hyaline ocelli; (2) the male hindwing has a relatively small greenish-hyaline ocellus; (3) absence of reddish or orange coloration around the ocellus of hindwing; (4) male genitalia with simplified valvae, uncus without upper projection.

Species composition. Salassa royi ( Elwes, 1887) , Salassa olivacea ( Oberthür, 1890) , Salassa tibaliva Zhu & Wang, 1993 , Salassa antkozlovi Brechlin, 2017 , Salassa pararoyi Brechlin, 2009 , Salassa sunwukongi sp. nov.

Distribution. Countries around Himalayas, including China, Bhutan and India.
