Genus Labiobulura Skrjabin & Schikhobalova, 1948

Syn. Subulura Molin, 1860 pro parte; Baylis, 1930: 356–359; Johnston & Mawson, 1939a: 204, 1939b: 309, 1940: 472– 473, 1951: 36.

Type species: Labiobulura peramelis ( Baylis, 1930) Skrjabin & Schikhobalova, 1948

Diagnosis. Relatively large worms, cuticle with cuticular annulations. Mouth opening basically hexagonal, complex, with six labial lobes, with or without six inter labial lobes. Buccal capsule circular. Peripheral lobes of pharyngeal portions wholly cuticular; radial and chordal lobes standing erect and distinct, slightly muscular. Cervical alae present.

Male: pre cloacal sucker elongate, without cuticular elaborations; spicules both fully cuticular.

Female: tail simple, conical; vulva anterior to midbody; eggs embryonated, thin shelled, sub globular.
