Holotype and 12 paratypes are present in the NFIC. Holotype with three labels, Label 1: White label with printed collection locality '( INDIA: Kerala), ' Travancore , Cape Comorin ( Kanyakumari ); 25.iii.1943 '; collected by ' KSP Aiyar'. Label 2: White label—' Chlamys padmanabhai Bhasin , Type (hand written)'. Label 3: Red label stating 'Type'.

There are 12 paratypes on six pins—two pins each with three specimens each on three cards, two pins with two specimens on two cards and rest two pins with one specimen each on card. Green label stating ' Paratype'. White label—stating collection locality '( INDIA: Kerala), Travancore , Cape Comorin ; on 25.iii.1943 ; collected by KSP Aiyar'. Date on the three pins with multiple specimen cards (3, 2 and 2) is iii.1943, rest information same.

Comments: In the original description it is stated that species has been described on the basis of 14 specimens collected by KSP Aiyar from Trivandrum (Thiruvananthapuram) and Cape Comorin (Kanyakumari); and 9 specimens collected by the Research Ranger from N. Salem District. Holotype and 12 paratypes are in NFIC.
