Distribution in Iran. Ardabil ( Linnavuori 2007), Khorasan ( Linnavuori & Modarres Awal 1999; Linnavuori 2007), Iran (no locality cited) ( Aukema et al. 2013).

General distribution. Iran, Turkmenistan.

Comments. Wagner (1957) included “ Pleuroxonotus nov. spec.” from Sistan & Baluchestan. This species was apparently never described. However, since Wagner’s work, Pleuroxonotus nasutus and Pronototropis punctipennis —two closely related taxa badly defined by Wagner ( Linnavuori 1988)—were mentioned from Iran.
