Distribution in Iran. Guilan (Hosseini et al. 2000 under the spelling Haltivus macrocephalus [sic]; Linnavuori 2007), Hamadan ( Samin et al. 2011), Tehran ( Linnavuori 2007), West Azarbaijan ( Sakenin et al. 2010), Iran (no locality cited) ( Aukema et al. 2013).

General distribution. Holomediterranean species; living on Clematis sp. and Carduncellus sp. ( Linnavuori 2007).
