Cephennodes gokarnaensis View in CoL species group
A newly established group to accommodate C. gokarnaensis and C. pseudogokarnaensis , both known to occur in Nepal. Closely allied to the C. inflatipes , C. spatulipes and C. simplicipes groups, shares with them a very small aedeagus of the simonis form with asymmetrical and drop-shaped median lobe and asymmetrical parameres, but males have unmodified abdominal sternites and unmodified metatibiae. Additionally, among apical structures of the aedeagus, a tubular component located in front of the apical projection (in ventral view) is bifurcate at apex. External character shared by males of this group is the elytral subapical region covered with setae distinctly denser than those on remaining areas and directed posteromesally.
