Cephennodes spatulipes View in CoL species group
This newly established group includes some species previously placed in the C. inflatipes group, namely those that have both the metatibiae and abdomen modified in males. The C. spatulipes species group is characterized by a small aedeagus of the simonis form, with a large apical projection, its apex directed toward the apex of the median lobe, the ventral wall of median lobe lacking setae; metatibiae in males spatulate; abdomen in males modified, with carinae and/or projections on some sternites. This group includes four species known to occur in the People's Republic of China, and seven new species described below.
