Diagnosis:— Fridericia chica can be easily recognized by the reddish dry leaflets (vs. green dry leaflets in other Fridericia species).
Reproductive Period:— Flowers were collected from October to March, fruiting in March and November.
Distribution and Habitat:— It is broadly distributed throughout Central and South America ( Lohmann 2010, Lohmann & Taylor 2014). Within the study area, it was registered in Céu Azul, Matelândia/Serranópolis do Iguaçu, Foz do Iguaçu, and in the PARNA Iguazú .
