7.2. Jacaranda mimosifolia Don View in CoL in Ker Gawler (1822: 631) ( Fig. 10 c View FIGURE 10 ).

Diagnosis:— Jacaranda mimosifolia can be recognized by the presence of more than 12 pinna (vs. 4 to 6 in J. puberula and 7 to 9 in J. micrantha ).

Distribution and Habitat:— It occurs as native in Bolivia and Argentina ( Gentry & Morawetz 1992). Herein it is not considered as a distribution extension, since the species does not occur naturally in the Misiones province, and it is widely cultivated around the world. Within the study area, it was registered in Céu Azul, planted as ornamental. Exotic for Brazil and the Misiones province.
