Status in the Arabian Peninsula. Recorded from Oman in original description by Banister & Clarke (1977); confirmed by Lyon et al. (2016), Pichler et al. (2018), Freyhof et al. (2020), Kirchner et al. (2020), Esmaeili et al. (2022), and Sayyadzadeh et al. (2023).

General distribution. Middle East: southern Hajar Mountains ( Oman endemic). Habitat: freshwater.

Distribution in the Arabian Peninsula. Oman: Southern Hajar Mountains, Wadi Dhum, Wadi Falahi, Hoti Pit, Lizq, Ain Wadhah Bahla Ad Dakhiliyah Governorate, Hoota cave Al Hamra Ad Dakhiliyah Governorate, Tanuf Nizwa Ad Dakhiliyah Governorate, Wadi Andam Al Wusta Governorate, Saiq.

Economic importance. No commercial importance.

Conservation. Endangered (EN).
