Habitat (inferred). In the surface of coral sands in the sublittoral.
Distribution. Found as valves only in scattered locations.
Remarks. All valves found so far are small not exceeding 10 mm and all have been disarticulated. This species would appear to be scarce. This species
has not been recorded from Mauritius but there may be confusion with F. fragum which Viader (1937) notes.
Range. Indian Ocean [S].
