Holotype male in NMSA (not seen).
Diagnosis. Arista with very short hairs; dorsocentrals 2+3; katepisternals 1+2; fore tibia with a posterior median seta; mid femur with 2 preapical setae, one posterior and one posterodorsal; mid tibia with 2 posterior setae; costal spine not distinct; sternite 1 bare. Cercal plate and surstylus as in Zielke (1970b: Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1 – 4 ). Notes. This runs to couplet 28 of Emden’s (1951) key, but has no costal spine and a very short-haired arista.
