Emended diagnosis. Male and female. Cecidomyiid fly with tarsomere 1 longer than 2. Antennae with 13 flagellomeres. Ocelli absent. Wing venation reduced, without vein M or with short and evanescent vein M. Vein CuA unforked. C extending beyond Rs, far apex of wing. R1 joining C at half length of wing. Rs joining C beyond wing apex.
