Diagnosis ( Fig. 11 ): Small scorpions, generally less than 35 mm in length; body colour generally pale yellow to yellowish orange; sparse dark pigmentation at the anterior lateral regions of the carapace and around the median eyes; ventral surface of sternites and metasoma without numerous setae; pectinal tooth count 16-19 in males, 14-17 in females; pedipalp chela fingers without outer accessory granules (acutecarinatus groub); pedipalp chela fingers with 9-10 rows of granules along dentate margin; males with distinct gap at the base of chela fingers and less pronounced in females; lateral inframedian carinae on metasomal segments II and III present. Table 3 shows morphometric measurements for Compsobuthus pallidus from Kuwait.

Remarks: This species was described from Kuwait and north-eastern Saudi Arabia ( Hendrixson, 2006).
