Material examined. Two males, Ile aux Fous, 17.8 m, 24 September 2001, 19‡39.023’S, 63‡22.934’E, under dead piece of plate coral over rubble.

Remarks. This species is easily recognized by the lack of rami on uropod 3 and by the elongate merus and short carpus of pereopods 3–4.

Distribution. This species was described by Ledoyer (1978) from Mauritius. The current record extends its known distribution within the Mascarene Islands.
