Dimensions: 41.0 μm long, 6.7 μm wide; dorsal striae 27 in 10 μm, ventral striae 26 in 10 μm.
Diagnostics: Our specimens were at the lower end of the size range and the higher end of the stria density range in the literature and resembles the images in Wachnicka & Gaiser (2007) more closely than those in the original description. Danielidis & Mann chose the species epithet to reflect “the impressive morphology and size of this species,” which hardly seems to fit the Chuuk material.
