Chorotype. Type 3 [1.03 of Vigna Taglianti et al. (1999)]. Western Palaearctic .

Italian distribution. Northern mainland and Sardinia ( Chandler 2004a).

Notes. Chandler (2004a) recorded this species from Sardinia based on the specimens from T2 and T3 cited above. The hitherto unpublished Italian mainland record was based on material from Aosta (leg. L. Matile, MNHN) and 1 ♂ from Belluno , Cortina [d’Ampezzo, Belluno province], 23-24.VIII.1967 (leg. B.H. & M.C. Cogan, BMNH) .
