Badhamia semiannulata Raub & H.W. Keller View in CoL , in Raub, Keller & Gaither, Mycologia 71(1):120 (1979)

Paratypus: CANADA. Ontario, Byron, on greenhouse mulch, 21 May 1939, W.D. Sutton, DWM 2505 [one slide, K-M001435100], ( Fig. 2E View FIGURE 2 ).

Notes. The slide in the Mitchell collection is from one of the specimens mentioned by Raub et al. (1979: 120) in “Collections examined” and the date and locality coincide with the type. These authors also mention that the holotype is deposited in NY00834206 along with several isotypes (NY00834207, NY00834208) and paratypes (NY00834210, NY00834212, NY00834214, NY00834215, NY00834216, NY00834209, NY00834211, NY00834213). Paratypes also were sent to BPI 743773, BPI 743971, K, and the collection of H.W. Keller. We did not find the material in Kew database.

* Badhamia verrucospora G. Moreno, D.W. Mitch. & Novozh., Bol. Soc. Micol. View in CoL Madrid 35:98 (2011)

Notes. According to Moreno et al. (2011: 101), the holotype collected by Mitchell is from “ USA: Arizona, 40 km E of Flagstaff, on herbivore dung in moist chamber, 27-V-2000, leg. D.W. Mitchell, DWM 6071 holotype, AH 39265 isotype ”. However, in the Mitchell collection we did not find this material so it must only be conserved in AH. There was another specimen (DWM 7870) from New Mexico, Monastery Road, elk dung, wet 31/7/12, harvested 11 Sept. 2012 but it is not type material.
