Types. Holotype immature male from Myanmar, in Museo Civico di Storia Naturale "Giacomo Doria", Genoa, Italy (examined by HWL).

Additional material examined. China, Yunnan, one female, 8 July, 1984, Ming –sheng Zhu leg.

Description. Female total length 17.43. Cephalothorax 6.88 long, 6.77 wide; abdomen 11.77 long, 13.32 wide. Carapace red orange with white thin setae and black short setae ( Figs 17 View FIGURES 14–17 ; 23 View FIGURES 23–28 ); outsides of cervical groove covered with small granules with setae, cervical groove deep, radial furrows obvious, fovea transversal. Carapace with a pointed tubercle at lateral angle on anterior margin. Both eye rows recurved, anterior eye row slightly longer than posterior eye row; lateral eyes situated at lateral sides of the pointed tubercles. Eyes measurements: AME 0.31, ALE 0.17, PME 0.34, PLE 0.14; AME–AME 0.37, AME–ALE 1.43, PME–PME 0.51, PME–PLE 1.39; ocular area narrower in front than in back (0.88: 1.02), wider than long (1.02: 0.88). A small protuberance situated medially under clypeus. Chelicerae light brown. Sternum yellowish, with yellow-brown margins. Endites redish brown, 1.87 long, 1.33 wide, Labium red brown with yellow tip. Clypeal height 0.14, longer than AME size. Legs yellow, femora light brown, lateral margins with process pointed to spaces between coxa I and II, coxa III and IV. Legs with few short macrosetae. Leg formula: 1243. Leg measurements: I 25.09 (7.66+8.99.6.55+1.89); II 24.88 (7.22+9.44+.6.33+1.89); III 17.76 (6.44+5.99+3.55+1.78); IV 24.42 (7.10+8.99+6.55+1.78).

Abdomen wider than long, dorsum yellowish with light brown pigment on posterior part, with three anterior, two middle and four posterior tubercles ( Figs 17 View FIGURES 14–17 ; 24 View FIGURES 23–28 ), and with many rounded and sclerotized brown spots; posteriorly pleated. Venter yellowish.

Epigynal scape developed, wide and flat, without traversal pleats, spoon-shaped distally. Spermathecae with papillate ends, close to each other ( Figs 19 View FIGURES 18–19 ; 26–28 View FIGURES 23–28 ).

Male. Originally described from a juvenile, adult unknown.

Remarks. The female is similar and matches the juvenile male type from Myanmar in the eye arrangement, the abdomen with tubercles on dorsum and posteriorly pleated and the shape of the body, all almost the same as the male type species from Myanmar.
