Etymology. The specific name is derived from the Latin “lingual”, referring to the ligulate epigynal scape.

Diagnosis. This new species is similar to Deione thoracica in having the similar abdomen, but it can be distinguished by having the abdomen with the anterior pair of humps situated in lateral edges, rather than parallel to the lateral edge in D. thoracica ; by the ligulate epigynal scape (trapezoid in D. thoracica ( Thorell, 1898: 365)) ; and by having the inner edge of the posterior lateral epigynal plates parallel (semicircular in D. thoracica ).

Description (male holotype). Total length 4.22. Cephalothorax 1.89 long, 1.44 wide; abdomen 2.44 long, 1.44 wide. Carapace yellow brown, cervical groove and radial grooves brown. Cervical groove deep, fovea shallow, longitudinal. Cephalic region raised, highest in middle, with small granules, one seta behind lateral eyes. Thoracic region low and short relative to cephalic region. Both eye rows recurved, posterior eye row longer than anterior one. Eyes measurements: AME 0.14, ALE 0.08, PME 0.12, PLE 0.10; AME–AME 0.10, AME–ALE 0.27, PME–PME 0.17, PME–PLE 0.31; ocular area wider than long (0.41: 0.33), shorter in front than in back (0.34: 0.41). Endites, labium and sternum dark brown. Chelicerae strong, dark yellow-brown, with five promarginal teeth and three retromarginal teeth. Labium wider than long, distal part triangular. Endite longer than wide, with a tooth. Sternum longer than wide, truncated on anterior margin. Coxae I with one hook on the rim. Tibiae II incrassated with two strong ventral macrosetae near the distal end and three anterior-lateral macrosetae; metatarsi II with two short, blunt ventral macrosetae basally ( Figs 11 View FIGURES 6–13 ; 16 View FIGURES 14–17 ). Leg formula: 1243. Leg measurements: I 5.03 (1.46+1.87+1.12+0.58); II 4.85 (1.46+1.73+1.12+ 0.54); III 3.23 (1.09+1.12+0.61+0.41); IV 4.35 (1.29+1.56+1.02+0.48).

Abdomen longer than wide, dorsally orange with dark brown folium-like pattern, with two pairs of macrosetae anteriorly and two pairs of posterior humps in two rows. Brownish ventrally, yellow laterally. Palp with wide and membranous conductor, embolus flagelliform, median apophysis wide with a distal hook. Femora with two long dorsal macrosetae ( Figs 12–13 View FIGURES 6–13 ).

Female (one of female paratypes from Jianfeng town), total body length 5.00. Cephalothorax 2.11 long, 1.55 wide; abdomen 3.22 long, 2.00 wide. Eyes measurements: AME 0.14, ALE 0.10, PME 0.17, PLE 0.12; AME–AME 0.14, AME–ALE 0.44, PME–PME 0.17, PME–PLE 0.44. Ocular area wider than long (0.44: 0.41), shorter in front than in back (0.37: 0.44). Clypeus one AME diameter high. Legs short and thin, with few macrosetae, orange, with dark brown annulations. Leg formula: 1243. Leg measurements: I 4.96 (1.46+1.80+1.12+0.58); II 4.66 (1.36+1.67+1.05+ 0.58); III 3.27 (0.99+1.19+0.61+0.48); IV 4.62 (1.39+1.70+1.02+0.51).

Base of epigynum wider than long, inner edges of lateral plates parallel, scape broad and ligulate. Spermathecae oval, less than their diameter apart ( Figs 8–10 View FIGURES 6–13 ; 18 View FIGURES 18–19 ).

Variation. Total length ranges from 4.10 to 5.77 in females.
